Washington DC Wedding Photographer
Washington DC has some of the most beautiful buildings and architecture. From places like the monuments to grand Cathedrals it has so much to offer when it comes to photography and beauty. As a Washington DC Wedding Photographer I have taken photos at many of the beautiful places around DC but the National Cathedral MIGHT be my favorite.
Jon & Cynthia had their anniversary session with me at the National Cathedral and it turned out even more beautiful than I could have imagined! It had been POURING rain earlier in the day and luckily we were able to sneak these photos in while there was a break in the rain. No joke, it was torrential downpours about 10 minutes before we started taking these photos.
The dress she wore was actually one I had purchased for another shoot and we loved it so much so we decided to use it again. It looks so regal and royal alongside the National Cathedral. The puffy sleeves and square neckline remind me of something out of Downton Abbey or Bridgerton and the long veil added an extra touch of romance.

There are a few things you should know if you plan to do photos at the National Cathedral:
- They require a permit
- They don’t allow photos inside the cathedral
- They do not allow any photos that pertain to death or use props
- They are allowed to escort you off the property if you are not following their guidelines
- Parking is below the cathedral and is easy to access! Parking was $7 last time I went
