The Design
Glenstone Gardens is a private estate nestled in the heart of Loudoun County, just minutes from the historic village of Middleburg. Renowned for its expansive grounds, elegant architecture, and thoughtfully manicured gardens, Glenstone stands among the nation’s most sought-after wedding destinations. Every detail of the property is impeccably curated, offering a refined and picturesque setting for an immersive wedding weekend in Virginia’s distinguished hunt country.
With the estate being in the heart of “hunt country,” the design narrative naturally embraced this heritage—drawing inspiration from an equestrian, old-money aesthetic rooted in Americana. The season further informed our creative direction: classic gingham patterns, abundant summer strawberries, and a richly layered palette of earthy browns, deep greens, and vibrant reds seamlessly bridged the elegance of the countryside with the freshness of summer. This Glenstone Garden Wedding brought all of the juicy summer vibes.
The creative direction drew upon the enduring legacy of British heritage brands such as Burberry and Hunter, while also honoring the classic, effortless elegance of American icons like Ralph Lauren—culminating in a visual narrative that feels both distinguished and deeply familiar.
My Take on The Day
This design felt so warm and inviting. It was like going to a backyard wedding but much more elevated and elegant. I just pictured myself sitting at the table enjoying the reception and grabbing a cherry and a strawberry right off the table to munch on. I mean, what says summer more than fresh strawberries!?
The only unfortunate part of the day was that the ceremony was rained out and we had to pivot the photos for the shoot. I was able to grab some beautiful shots of the ceremony before the rain and we got some fun ones of the couple during the reception time too under their bubble umbrellas!
Get ready to feel all of the warm, cozy and delicious moments from this summer Glenstone Garden Wedding.
Then the RAINS CAME…and I mean POURING down rain. So, we made a hair adjustment and an outfit change for the reception look and it gave such a different look to the photos. Tell me if you like her hair better up or down.
