Erin & Frank Engagement | Photographer Alexandria VA

As a photographer in Alexandria VA this session was an absolute dream! Erin & Frank had their third date at a roller rink. They love Old town Alexandria VA, ice cream, Andy’s pizza, and thrifting. It felt only right to do all of those things for their engagement sesssion. And black & white photos felt like the vibe for this photo shoot.

Typically I send most photos in color and a few of my favorites in black and white. I am always happy to send black and white of any photos they want but I added a lot of black and white photos to this gallery because it just felt that retro and thrifty vibe to me.

Erin & Frank are absolutely adorable together and I think you’ll see that through these photos. We made this engagement session like a fun date night in Old Town Alexandria…although I wouldn’t necessarily recommend rollerskating on cobblestone streets!

Skating by the water

After skating by the waterfront we got ice cream at Pop’s Ice Cream Co, stopped in at Tatte Bakery (one of my favorite chains in the area), and ended with some pepperoni pizza at Andy’s Pizza. We had a BLAST! I love when couples want to do something fun where I am more like a documentary film maker following along and capturing their date night.

Their wedding is next year and I am SO FREAKIN’ PUMPED to capture their amazing love story! One of the best parts of my job is not only getting to photograph the wedding but also telling their story through engagements, proposals, and maybe one day through a family. It is the greatest honor for me to capture these important moments for my couples and families. I feel truly humbled and thankful that I get to do this everyday.
