Harrison & Adrianna’s Wedding | Northern VA Wedding Photographer
I first met Adrianna & Harrison at their proposal. That’s right. Harrison asked me to photograph his proposal in Alexandria by the waterfront. Even by the way he talked about her I could tell that she was going to say yes. So when Harrison & Adrianna contacted me about photographing their wedding I was SO EXCITED…to say the least. And as a Northern VA Wedding Photographer I was ecstatic to see their incredible wedding venue in Warrenton!
Harrison & Adrianna met in Ireland on a college trip and it was basically love at first sight. Exploring the Irish countryside together was the beginning of their love story.
After attending University in New Orleans they wanted to include a few nods to New Orleans culture, including several friends who wore mardi gras beads to celebrate the occasion.
The Wedding Day
Their ceremony had a unique element bringing together 3 foods to eat together for their first meal as a married couple. With “Slap Ya Mama” seasoning to bring in a little spice, bittersweet chocolate to remember that life brings bitter and sweet moments, and ending it with a shot of Honey Jameson Irish Whiskey it was a great way to remind their senses of all they had been through together and all of the places that meant something to them as a couple.
To end the evening they threw mardi gras beads and other miscellaneous party favors to their guests on the dance floor with New Orleans jazz playing in the background.
I loved how they had so many unique ways to tell their story and bring together so many things they loved. From Long Island, to New Orleans, to Ireland, and all the way to Northern Virginia, all of these places brought these two together and what a wonderful world we live in.
