Their first look in the vines was adorable. Albert & Kylie were so excited to finally get married! They were jumping up and down when Kylie said, “WE’RE GETTING MARRIED!” Their joy was bursting out of them and everyone around them could feel it too. As a Northern Virginia Photographer this was one of the sweetest first looks I have ever seen.
Kylie & Albert met in a chemistry lab. After becoming lab partners (somewhat orchestrated by Albert) a chemistry grew between them (see what I did there?). From then on it was Albert & Kylie and soon enough it became Dr. Albert and Dr. Kylie! They even included their love for science on their table decor with the periodic table of elements.
The Ceremony
The ceremony was filled with joyous tears and laughter. Albert & Kylie’s handwritten vows were filled so well done that even people you never expected to cry had tears streaming down their faces. It’s truly amazing how tears can flow and laughs can also come at the same time. Emotion is a powerful thing.
And we can’t talk about the ceremony without talking about the “flower dude”. Kylie opted to have her brother be the flower dude and walking down the aisle to “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” gave their ceremony off to a hilarious start (see photos).
The Reception
The reception was elegant at the beautiful Stone Tower Winery and filled with hues of dusty blue and peach. The florals were done by a family friend and they were absolutely stunning! The whole look was simple, sweet and understated.
Each toast was so meaningful and filled with words of love for Albert & Kylie. It’s hard to speak ill of two people with such incredible hearts and love for the people around them. Love was just overflowing.
Once the party began there was no stopping it! These science nerds and their friends know how to have a good time and even jammed out to “All I Want for Christmas Is You” (a Ritz family favorite) in the middle of August.
