The Manor 1858 Wedding

The Manor 1858 Wedding

Imagine yourself in Northern Virginia Hunt Country. You can hear the sounds of crickets and feel the stillness of the meadows and farmland around you. You can feel the gentle breeze on your face and smell the fresh air and the green grass. This The Manor 1858 Wedding styled shoot felt like home to me. It felt warm, inviting, elegant, and earthy. I loved creating these moments.

When I found out about The Manor 1858 and Hotel Burg (a boutique hotel coming to Leesburg, VA) I knew I had to create something in this space. Their attention to detail, love of restoring historic buildings, and incredible interior design really got my mind spinning and excited to design a modern hunt country wedding.

The vision behind this shoot was earthy tones with shades of mauve and wine. We brought colors like brown leather and modern blacks to give it a warmth and elegance as well. Curated Events DC has such incredible rentals with patterns that brought this vision to life. I wanted to mix patterns and do two different table designs to give this design some interest and dimension. So the Alice Rose linen and velvet linen brought this all to life.

The vendor team behind this shoot was more than I could have ever imagined when we started out. It was so encouraging to me to see this dream team come together and take my vision and run with it! They saw what I wanted to create and brought even more to the table than I thought possible. From the wild looking florals from J Morris Flowers to the leather and wooden menus from Live Life Lettered, this design took on a life of it’s own and became one of my favorites.

To bring life to this design I wanted to work with a real life couple. I love capturing the real love two people have through photography. You can see it in their eyes, smiles, and body language when they really love the person. It just makes the photos feel more real then when you use actors or models who are not romantically involved. So, working with Kimberly and Joe was absolutely perfect (and they’re really getting married soon so this was a good run through for them)!

Enough about me and The Manor 1858 Wedding shoot. You came here to see the photos. So, HERE THEY ARE!
